Fall Into Reading Challenge

Appologies in advance, I have no idea how to get the neat image tag to work here. I saw this at http://www.mia3mom.livejournal.com and I couldn't resist. The purpose is to establish goals for fall reading and to have fun! It goes from 9/23/06 to 12/21/06. As you will see I'm very into fiction. I went to the library today and had to make some additions lol (and again)....went to library to return and got more and more and more hehehe....this is going to be a recuring thing I know, but I have time, I'll be alright.

Here's the main page with all the participants too!
http://callapidderdays.blogspot.com/2006/09/let-challenge-begin.html

I'm currently reading

1. Swapping Lives by Jane Green Finished and I really liked it. Numbering finished so I keep track of how many I read. I'd say about 4 stars

2. The Good Neighbor by Jay Quinn uh..it was alright. I didn't like the middle to ending, not a horrible read but there were issues with fidelity that i didn't agree with.
3. The Hot Flash Club Chills Out by Nancy Thayer Loved this book, great series. Hope she writes more.
4. The House by Danielle Steel Good though a little predictable but at least she seemed to have a new plot. I don't recall reading this type before.
5. Gone by Jonathan Kellerman I thought I'd read this before but I don't remember it so I guess not. I love Delaware/Sturgis and I hope there are more coming. Nice twists, I didnt figure it out.
6. Beach Road James Patterson I actually didn't know how it was going to end until the last chapter or two. Shocker and I reccomend it! Very good
7. Coming Out by Danielle Steel Predictible but I still like her. This was shorter than some of her others and a really fast read. Got through it in one day...partly cause I wanted to find out if I was right
8. Susannah's Garden by Debie Macomber Another one of my many fav authors. Highly reccomend. Great book and original stories!
9. Killer Dreams Iris Johansen I read another in the series and didn't like it but this read a lot better and I enjoyed it
10. Fool Me Once by Fern Michaels I love Fern's books, this was great, even if she does write about dogs. Quick read, I couldn't put it down
11. Some Nerve by Jane Heller I don't recall ever reading anything by her but I enjoyed it. Cute and good mix plot.
12. Sullivan's Evidence by Nancy Taylor Rosenberg Loved it, love her, hope she writes more REAL soon. Nice suspense, good single mom probation officer who doesn't put up with anything
13. Two Little Girls in Blue by Mary Higgins Clark I cheated a bit, I read this last night when I should have been catching up on my tv shows lol, but it was so worth it. GREAT book, I love all of her books though
14. Can't Wait to Get to Heaven Fannie Flagg I loved this so much I sped read through it in one day/sitting. This again was part of the regular series she writes about a small town in Missouri.
15. Rise and Shine by Anna Quindlen Another really good one. I thought I read some of hers and didn't like it before, but this was really good. Story of 2 sisters and one is "perfect", gets tired of it and snaps
16 Sandcastles by Luanne Rice I dreaded reading this because it didn't sound good and I love most of her books. It was better than I thought but not as good as usual. A story of a family dealing with the aftermath of tragedy
17. Immoral by Brian Freeman  Very gripping and interesting. I want to read more of his books, I m loving murder mysteries lately, I didn't know who did it until close to the end.
18. Carry Me Home by Sandra Kring I didn't think I was going to like this at first either cause it didnt have any female main characters. I enjoyed it, I like her voice and way of storytelling but it had a little more bathroom humor than I like.
19. Promise Me by Harlen Coben I love this author, the book was not disappointing. Gripping and I didn't realize who did anything until the end either. Nice twists.
20. Dark Harbor by Stuart Woods Another great book by this author, I've liked most of his books. I didn't realize anything until the last few chapters but I wish Stone would commit to 1 person
21 Charmed Thirds by Megan McCafferty I have one word to say...MORE. I want more by this author....very good and fast reads, good chick teen lit.
22. Full of Grace by Dorthea Benton Frank Much better than I thought it would be. I like this author, I think I found a new fav, about an italian family and the Catholic church
23. The Hard Way by Lee Child I like the Jack Reacher books and this was also a nice twist. Good pace and good fast reading
24. The Great Skinner Getaway By Suzanne Tolan I read these before and I love them. I could read them over and over. Funny and I like that the "child" narrates. This was about an RV trip gone wrong. Wanted to read in order but the library had other ideas.
25. The Guy Not Taken by Jennifer Weiner Again I read this in about 1 day. Very good, even though I'm not a fan of short stories. I like her a lot, she's good and fast reads.
26. My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult  Reread for our book club. It had been long enough so that I'd forgotten the ending believe it or not. Loved it! Sad though. Hard choices to make.
27. My Husband My Babies by Debra Salonen I like this romance author, I hope she keeps writing, I want to read all her books. This was an easy read though, I liked how the family all bonded
28. Caleb's Christmas Wish by Debra Salonen Another great book even though it was somewhat sad, also research for a story I'm working on, loved it.
29. Operation: Katie by Roxanne Rustand A different book than what I was expecting but good. Another author I really like
30. The Comeback Girl by Debra Salonen I missed a book inbetween the first in the series and this, didn't really matter though. I knew what this character was hiding in last book and was pleased to be right.
31. The Great Skinner Strike by Stephanie S Tolan I've read these many times. I love this family, they're funny, even though again had to read out of order. Great voice
32. The Great Skinner Enterprise by Stephanie S. Tolan More of the same about this great family, wish she'd write more!
33. Prior Bad Acts by Tami Hoag A little slow start but ended up not being able to put it down. Great book, great title tie in. I like this author too
34. The Two Minute Rule by Robert Crais Could not put this down either. I like how the ex FBI agent was willing to help the ex Con find out what happened to his son
35. Dark Tort by Diane Mott Davidson I think I missed this when it came out before, but I love all her books. No exception. MORE!!!! Fast reads and good books. Hard to put down
36. The Session by Judith Kellman Another of my favs and this ended up starting slow but also couldn't put it down. Love it and want more. I had no idea who one of the bad guys was.
37. Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah I cried toward the end but was nicely surprised at how things turned around. Great book. Everyone should read.
38. Hitched by Carol Higgins Clark  I don't like her early books anywhere near as much as the later ones. This was good and had a lot of nice twists too
39. Judge and Jury by James Patterson Another fast read that I could not put down. I want more from this author. Very very good. Impressed and I liked the ending too
40. Baby Proof by Emily Giffen Nice twist at the end also, another good book that was an easy read.
41. Briana's Gift by Lurlene McDaniel This read too fast. I like that it wasnt heartbreakingly sad like the other books and I like how Sissy ended up helping with Noel.
42. A Baby of her Own by Brenda Novack I like this author but this book had a harder time grabbing my attention than I thought. I liked the ending and how the plot fit together though
43, Long Time Coming by Brown decent book. I cant read some of hers for whatever reasons and my only complaint is the sex scenes, which I skip over. Maybe thats WHY I dont really enjoy this author? hehe
44. Plain Jane by Fern Michaels Another great book. I love this author, though I've read so many books, I forget which ones I have read sometimes. I thought I'd missed this but it ended up being a reread, which was fine.
45. Sleeping With Fear by Kay Hooper
DIdn't see the ending coming. Love her books! Must read more
46. Me & Emma by Flock MUST READ!!!! Everyone should. I don't want to spoil the ending but it was another I never saw coming. Very powerful and sad.
47. Wifey by Judy Blume
48. Copycat by Erica Spindler
49. Cross by James Patterson
50. Coming Home to Myself by Wynonna

It is a little ambitious but I think I can do it. That's about 2 books a week. I may add more in but I figured I'd start with this. Fiction is my first love, too, and you have a wonderful variety here. Many of them I have not read, but I'm familiar with a handful of the authors. I've read a few Iris Johansen books and they were definitely page-turners. Enjoy your books, and thanks for joining the challenge!
