New House Pros and Cons
The house is a bit higher priced than I was looking for so I'm making a list to see all the good things. Comments are welcome.
Bigger tax deduction for the office space
More space (and double paned windows that I don't have to put in) hopefully means less kid noise from outside....plus more heat in winter and cool in summer
Gorgeous inside
Built in bookshelves means more room for my stuff w/o having to buy more right away
Office/Craft room whatever you want to call it with more built in cabinets means more storage space also w/o using the garage
beautiful pool and backyard means I'll hopefully spend more time there
neighborhood seems quiet
On average 6-8 miles closer to my friends/shops etc. That means more time working at home which means more $$ potential and also less driving means less $$ spent on gas. Right now I fill up on average once a month or 5 weeks. I filled up on 4/7 (but i don't think I was close to empty, I was near the gas station and it was cheap priced) and then again on about 5/19. That doesn't count the $10 I put in when I ran out of gas the week before though, but I only put 20 in on the 19th so I'll call that a fill up. That's almost 6 weeks....wow.
all the appliances are included and it's a flat top stove which I've been coveting!
house seems to be in good shape
The only cons I can think of are that the garage opens directly to the kitchen. I'll have to get in the habit of not opening the garage door to the outside until I'm sure the garage is cat free. I can do that. Also the garage is at a 90 degree angle to the house. I can probably learn to turn properly. Also there are no bathtubs, but this gives me the perfect excuse to buy the whirlpool tub I'm coveting!
